about

Erin Highton is a young carer and a prolific singer songwriter from the Borders.Erin has captured  two of her typically honest and emotional performances on Sound Cycle Two - Warp - On this lovely recording, in a departure from her usual guitar, Erin accompanies herself on piano in this soulful song.

lyrics

You say it's gonna go away someday,
That sometimes our head just needs a break,
That if I count to three, if I truly believe then I'll be okay I'll feel no pain,
sometimes our heart just needs to break,
from the things I feel from the things I see from the things I breathe when I sleep,
from the things I feel ,from the things I see, from the things I breathe, when I sleep,
turnaround,
don't look now,
I can't have you see,
wherever I go when I go when I'm alone, and I can't sleep , where footsteps turn ,
and silence and laughs become screams ,
and everything around me is not meant for me,
not meant for me.
